Your kids grow up only once. Let them spend it with you, not a screen.

bloc is a small magnet for your fridge. The apps you pick together, like YouTube, games and Instagram, lock on a schedule. To open them, someone has to walk to the fridge and tap their phone on it. No more snatching phones. The rule says not now, so you don’t have to.

One bloc works for every phone in the house. ₹2,499 ₹1,699, pay once, no subscription.

Sound familiar?

Every evening, the same fight over the phone.

  1. 5:00 pmHomework open. A video open next to it.
  2. 8:30 pmDinner. Everyone on their own screen. Us too.
  3. 10:30 pm“Just five more minutes, Mummy.”
  4. 11:45 pmLights off. The screen is still on.

What we believe

Kids copy what we do, not what we say.

Telling a child to put the phone down doesn’t work when ours is in our hand too. And these apps are built by large teams whose job is to keep everyone watching. Willpower loses that fight, for children and for us.

So we don’t believe in snatching phones, or in spying on children. We believe in one rule for the whole house, and a little distance between all of us and the feed.

  • One rule for everyone
  • No spying, no reports
  • A walk, not a fight

Our solution

Put the feed one walk away.

A phone in the hand is too easy to open. bloc moves the unlock to the kitchen. That short walk is enough for a child, or a parent, to stop and ask: do I really need this right now?

  1. 1

    Make the rules together

Sit with your child and pick which apps lock, and when. Rules they help make are rules they keep.

  2. 2

    Stick bloc on the fridge

Up high if your kids are small, so opening apps means asking a grown up. Pair every phone in the house with the same bloc.

  3. 3

Want it open? Walk to the fridge.

The apps you chose lock on schedule. To open them, get up, walk over and tap. Most evenings, nobody bothers.

Your schedule, ready made

Family hours

We send it on WhatsApp after you order and set it up with you around your home’s routine, in Hindi or English. Change it any time in the app.

In line with India’s pediatricians: no screens during meals or in the hour before bed.

The bloc app is free. Install it on your child’s phone and on yours.

Needs iOS 16.2 or later, or Android 9 or later with NFC.

Questions parents ask

The honest answers.

Is bloc spying on my child?

No. bloc tracks nothing and sends you no reports. It is a rule you make together, not a spy tool. It works best when your child agrees with the rule.

Can’t my child just walk to the fridge and unlock it?

Yes, they can, and that’s fine. The walk is a pause to ask “do I really need this?”, and most times the answer is no. For small children, stick bloc high on the fridge, so opening apps means asking a grown up.

Can my child delete the bloc app?

Not while the apps are locked. During a session, the bloc app can’t be deleted.

What about online classes and homework apps?

You choose what locks. School and class apps can stay open. Only the apps that pull them away get locked.

Can one bloc work for the whole family?

Yes. Many phones can pair with the same bloc: your child’s, yours, and anyone else’s at home.

Will my child still be able to call me?

Yes. Calls and messages always stay open. You decide what counts as a distraction.

Does it work on a tablet?

bloc needs NFC to tap. iPads and many Android tablets don’t have NFC, so bloc is made for phones.

Which phones does it work with?

iPhone on iOS 16.2 or later, and Android 9 or later with NFC. If the phone can pay contactless, it can use bloc.

Is there a subscription?

No. You pay once and the app is free. Every bloc comes with a 30 day replacement.

Will you help us set it up?

Yes. After you order, we message you on WhatsApp and set up Family hours with you, in Hindi or English.
